As a general rule of thumb, remember these tips when dining or ordering out and wanting to keep your nutrition goals a priority:

  • Choose high-protein dishes with grilled, broiled, roasted or baked lean meats:

  • Look for high-fiber options, whether the source is vegetables or whole grains
  • Consider portion sizes and make lower-calorie substitutions when possible

  • Choose low- or zero-calorie drink options to have with your meal and stay hydrated throughout your meal to reduce your chances of over-eating
